Amyris

Amyris has a warm, sweet, woody and slightly tangy note, which reflects life in the Caribbean. The oil’s fragrance reflects the heat of the region and the roughness of hurricanes, which the small, not domesticated Amyris tree must survive. You might have heard the term “West Indian Sandalwood” used as a synonym for Amyris. This is, however, not correct, since Amyris has a tangier and more bitter fragrance than Sandalwood. Our vegan Amyris oil is distilled from dried, chipped wood. Originally, Amyris oil was used to scent soaps. Today, we love the calming oil because it helps soothe stress-related skin blotches, supports our efforts to stay mentally in shape.

The organic essential oil is produced with a lot of patience from the root of the two-year-old Angelica plant. The distillation process takes between 12 and 24 hours. Angelica Root helps relieve pressure and activates your immune system and your lymphatic flow. Especially during the colder months, the oil will make you love life again. Anise helps ease tensions and indigestion. It soothes the feeling of fullness you may experience after your meals. Even the ancient Romans knew of Anise’s effectiveness opposite flatulence and gall bladder conditions. They also used Anise seeds to help ease cough. Anise oil has relieving and loosening properties. It helps you gather strength and puts a spring in your step if you feel physically and mentally exhausted. Bergamot is a pear-shaped citrus-fruit and similar to quinces. The only spot in the entire world Bergamot grows in is Calabria, Italy. If you love tea, you certainly know the taste of Bergamot, too. It is responsible for Earl Grey tea’s unique aroma. The precious essential oil is cold-pressed from the fruit’s peel. Bergamot oil supports all those of you who are under pressure to deLiver at work: The oil activates your sharp mind while at the same time reducing your nervousness. So, cheer up and be happy! Perfume production, too, knows the value of Bergamot essential oil’s delicate scent, and uses it as a finishing touch to numerous perfumes. But beware: Bergamot leaves spots when exposed to sunlight!

The fruits for our organic essential Blood Orange oil grow exactly there. To ensure a super-gentle oil production, the orange peels are cold presseded. Cajeput

You have a running nose? And no energy to do anything? Help is on the way! The highly potent Cajeput recharges your batteries! Produced from the leaves of the 30 meters-tall Cajeput tree, the oil features a fresh and spicy Eucalyptus-like fragrance with a milder note. Cajeput can clear your head and encourages motivation during the colder months. In summer, Cajeput oil is just as essential: It repels insects. In Asia, where Cajeput comes from, the oil has always been used as a daily helper. It came to Europe late through Dutch traders.

Camphor

Camphor is a very powerful agent. It is won from the evergreen camphor-tree. The blood circulation stimulating and activating oil is a widely used ingredient in massage oil blends. It is considered an aphrodisiac in Japan. TCM values it in warming blends for muscle and joint conditions. Our white camphor essential oil is fractionally distilled with camphor crystals and belongs to the lightest group of camphor essential oils. It is free of safrole.

Cardamom is a good friend for digestive discomfort. Cardamon can help. The oil is steam-distilled from the fragrant seed capsules of the herb, which may grow between 2 and 3 meters tall. The cardamon plant belongs to the botanical family of the ginger plants. Cardamom is an age-old natural remedy in Ayurveda, which uses it for its physically and mentally balancing qualities, and as a stimulant. If you have Stomach issues, it calms your Stomach. If you suffer from insomnia, it calms your mind. At the same time, the spicy, warm and slightly sweet fragrance supports your nerves and activates your spirits.

Carrot Seed

The carrot plant may grow up to 120cm tall. We all know its crunchy root, but only few of us are aware that the carrot plant will produce white umbel-like flowers in the late summer. Carrot seed oil is steam-distilled from these flowers’ seeds. The spicy oil with earthy note cleanses and activates your body and soul. It strengthens weak nerves. Furthermore, it repels larvae and insects. Most importantly, however, the oil rejuvenates and nourishes mature, strained, irritated and wrinkle-prone skin. The evergreen cedarwood tree is a majestic and powerful tree. It can grow up to 40 meters tall and 300 years old. The Atlas Mountains in Morocco, Africa, are still full of these gigantic trees. Essential Cedarwood oil is stream distilled from the wood of the trees. The peace of the forests is reflected in the properties of the oil: It helps overcome mental anxiety, supports your inner strength, and loosens tense muscles. The warm and woody fragrance is a pleasant scent for perfumes and works to repel insects – a property that has been known since ancient times.

Cedarwood Virginia

This tree aspires to be a true Cedar, but is instead a member of the Juniper family, and a true American: the Virginia Cedar. The organically growing tree may grow 15 to 40 meters tall. Once felled, the tree’s wood-shavings are distilled into essential oil. The oil’s warm and woody note reminds us of the smell of a freshly sharpened pencil. Traditionally, the oil has been used as an insect repellent, and still is today. Insects and pests simply dislike Virginian Cedarwood oil. If, however, a mosquito bites you anyway, the oil helps soothe the itchy spot. It also relaxes you and calms your nerves.

Cinnamon Bark 60%

The spicy, strong cinnamon bark oil can fill any room with a warm fragrance. Especially in the time before Christmas, it intensifies the joy of anticipation for the approaching festivities. In India, it has been known for more than 4,000 years as a spice, but also as a valuable companion in the wet and cold season. Ayurveda therefore uses cinnamon for all cold conditions and thus makes use of its warming energy. The fine cinnamon bark oil is extracted from the bark of the real tropical cinnamon tree, which grows up to 18 metres high. The oil is a strong skin irritant and must therefore be used with respect and care.

Citronella Org.

In the summer Citronella oil is indispensable for anyone bothered by mosquitoes. The oil’s fresh, tangy, and slightly lemony fragrance is not appealing to unwanted insects. Humans, however, love it all the more. The oil brightens your mood, cleanses the air, and eases muscle tensions. The evergreen, herbaceous plant is native to South-East Asia and may grow up to 3 meters tall. When the leaves are in bloom, they are distilled into an essential oil. In order to have a cheaper alternative to the valuable melissa oil, citronella oil is often called melissa indicum.

Clary Sage Org.

Clary Sage helps reduce anxiety and stress. It relaxes. The oil’s main properties, however, are helping ease “female conditions”, such as menstrual conditions or menopausal symptoms. The plant has been considered an important plant in the herbal garden since ancient times. Hildegard von Bingen, a German medieval Benedictine abbess, recommended it to strengthen the Heart. A soft massage of the lower belly with the flowery-herbal clary sage oil, blended with a nourishing oil, provides a more beautiful skin and relaxes the muscles in the lower abdomen.

Clove Buds Org.

The tropical clove tree produces three different types of essential oils: clove leaf oil, clove stalk oil and clove bud oil, which is the most precious of them. The bud oil is the most valuable and complex of these. The scent is more intense and harmonious than that of the leaf or stalk oil. Shortly before the flowers open their heads in full bloom, the buds are harvested. Their oil has a strong, sweet and spicy aroma, and is used as popular cooking oil in Africa and Asia. The oil is high in eugenol and is widely used in oral care products and massage oils. Clove oil is slightly anaesthetic, warming and stimulating.

Cocoa 50%

The sweet and tangy scent of cocoa brings a pleasant feeling of security. It will calm you when you feel tense and nervous. Native to South America, the small, evergreen cocoa tree produces berries, which are about 20 cm in length and may weigh up to 500 g each. Each berry contains about 50 seeds, the so-called cocoa beans. Farmers open the berries using machetes, collect the beans and dry them. The dried beans are CO2-distilled into a solid cocoa-butter, which is then fluidized with alcohol in order to receive the rich oil.
