Amyris has a warm, sweet, woody and slightly tangy note, which reflects life in the Caribbean. The oil’s fragrance reflects the heat of the region and the roughness of hurricanes, which the small, not domesticated Amyris tree must survive. You might have heard the term “West Indian Sandalwood” used as a synonym for Amyris. This is, however, not correct, since Amyris has a tangier and more bitter fragrance than Sandalwood. Our vegan Amyris oil is distilled from dried, chipped wood. Originally, Amyris oil was used to scent soaps. Today, we love the calming oil because it helps soothe stress-related skin blotches, supports our efforts to stay mentally in shape.

Angelica Root, in German also referred to as “Angel Root”, is a truly heavenly support in stressful situations. The organic essential oil is produced with a lot of patience from the root of the two-year-old Angelica plant. The distillation process takes between 12 and 24 hours. The cardamon plant belongs to the botanical family of the ginger plants. In the summer Citronella oil is indispensable for anyone bothered by mosquitoes. The oil’s fresh, tangy, and slightly lemony fragrance is not appealing to unwanted insects. Humans, however, love it all the more. The oil brightens your mood, cleanses the air, and eases muscle tensions. The evergreen, herbaceous plant is native to South-East Asia and may grow up to 3 meters tall. When the leaves are in bloom, they are distilled into an essential oil. In order to have a cheaper alternative to the valuable melissa oil, citronella oil is often called melissa indicum.

Clary Sage helps reduce anxiety and stress. It relaxes. The oil’s main properties, however, are helping ease “female conditions”, such as menstrual conditions or menopausal symptoms. The plant has been considered an important plant in the herbal garden since ancient times. Hildegard von Bingen, a German medieval Benedictine abbess, recommended it to strengthen the Heart. A soft massage of the lower belly with the flowery-herbal clary sage oil, blended with a nourishing oil, provides a more beautiful skin and relaxes the muscles in the lower abdomen.

The tropical clove tree produces three different types of essential oils: clove leaf oil, clove stalk oil and clove bud oil, which is the most precious of them. The bud oil is the most valuable and complex of these. The scent is more intense and harmonious than that of the leaf or stalk oil. Shortly before the flowers open their heads in full bloom, the buds are harvested. Their oil has a strong, sweet and spicy aroma, and is used as popular cooking oil in Africa and Asia. The oil is high in eugenol and is widely used in oral care products and massage oils. Clove oil is slightly anaesthetic, warming and stimulating.

The sweet and tangy scent of cocoa brings a pleasant feeling of security. It will calm you when you feel tense and nervous. Native to South America, the small, evergreen cocoa tree produces berries, which are about 20 cm in length and may weigh up to 500 g each. Each berry contains about 50 seeds, the so-called cocoa beans. Farmers open the berries using machetes, collect the beans and dry them. The dried beans are CO2-distilled into a solid cocoa-butter, which is then fluidized with alcohol in order to receive the rich oil.

Wherever you are: Coffee bean oil provides you with the extra energy-kick you are craving. The oil’s scent resembles freshly brewed, savoury espresso. Coffee bean essential oil activates body and soul, ignites your inner engine, promotes concentration and will help you reach new heights. Only the best fruits of the evergreen, shrub-like coffee tree are extracted into oil. Since coffee beans ripen at different rates, the fruits are harvested and roasted by hand. The precious oil is then CO2-extracted from them.
