In the summer Citronella oil is indispensable for anyone bothered by mosquitoes. The oil’s fresh, tangy, and slightly lemony fragrance is not appealing to unwanted insects. Humans, however, love it all the more. The oil brightens your mood, cleanses the air, and eases muscle tensions.
The evergreen, herbaceous plant is native to South-East Asia and may grow up to 3 meters tall. When the leaves are in bloom, they are distilled into an essential oil. In order to have a cheaper alternative to the valuable melissa oil, citronella oil is often called melissa indicum.
