The yellow flowers of the Ylang Ylang tree, native to the tropical regions of Asia and islands in the Indian Ocean, are the source of the floral and heavy essential oil. The 8-hour distillation process sets free essential oils of varying qualities. The most refined and best essential oil is called Ylang Ylang Extra. It is retrieved after 1.5 hours of distillation. Ylang Ylang Extra has an exotic, sweet and sensual fragrance. The traditional oil of tropical regions is used for complaints of the digestive system. On the mental level, the oil helps ease emotional tensions.
